Read an interesting topic and thought to start a new thread on it,

What is your favourite colour and why???

I have quite a few but primarily, I absolutely adore red, purple and pink.

Why? Well, I'm not sure at all really! Its not for the reasons in the article I'm sure.

Some think that there is a gender bias towards certain colours, see below for the article that I came across.

Taken from: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/magazine/8200022.stm

Traditionally it is thought girls like pink more than boys do. Scientists have found there may be a biological basis for why girls prefer pink, or at least more reddish colours than boys. Research has found that although more people prefer blue, women tend to prefer pinker shades. Some biologists say that this is because in Stone Age times a woman's role was to pick out reddish-coloured fruit, so they became more sensitive to reddish colours. Another scientist has suggested females may also prefer reddish colours because they need to be more able to spot when their children are ill with a fever (and therefore have a more reddish tone to their faces), or because changes in skin colour can let you know what a person is feeling and help females to read emotions better.

I like bright reds and oranges, in fact any colour with depth in it but red and orange are my favourites.

Why, suits my colouring being dark hair and dark eyes, but I like my living room in oranges and rusts it justs seems more cozy to me.

Yeah it will look fab, if it ever gets done :x

Agree about the difference a colour makes, lounges are a good example. Painted mine a light blue a few years back, hated it so much! Its now lilac and feels much better :D

Wendwoo, I love yellows too, always want to wear something yellow when its sunny and can never find anything I like as its one of those colours where you have to be careful of the shade don't you think?? My skin looks neon under it if I'm not careful! Hot pink does the same sometimes, look as though I am radioactive
