We went to see Slumdog Millionaire yesterday - I had to drag my husband under sufferance.
What a great movie! We were on the edge of our seats all the way through - it's the best movie we've seen in years .
It's about a young guy from the slums of India that enters "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire"... and life gets complicated.
It's very sad and very poignant.
Husband had to agree it was brilliant... go and see it if you get the chance!
I watched it with Hurghadalady and it was rivetting, the subtitles which are shown from time to time were a little offputting but I suppose kids in the slums dont talk english and it made it even more the interesting. Well recommended.
One of the guys at work has lent me his DVD. It is on the 'to watch' list for this weekend.
We watched Taken last weekend. Liam Neeson. His daughter gets kidnapped and he goes after the people who abducted her. I know it is a type of vigilante film but it is so good.
Isn't it tragic about his wife? He is a genuinely nice guy.
A day without Sunshine is like a night without Stars.
Yes Semsema - it's tragic!
It's just a reminder to enjoy every minute we've got on this earth, as we might not be here tomorrow.
'Taken' sounds like a good movie - I'll try and get it.
I'm sure you'll enjoy Slumdog Millionaire - let us know what you think!
