Friends in Luxor are saying that Lorries are arriving from Cairo, the usual variety i reckon, food stuffs etc, so the roads into Luxor appear to be clear, there may due to the present climate be more security on route, more checkpoints perhapes than usual. Beyond that i dont know, and im sorry Kymmy i dont know the status of internal flights.

Hi Kym,

I have asked different people, some say it is ok to go to Luxor some say it isn't, can't seem to get a straight answer from anyone Kym. Keefy not in the best of moods when you get there either  he cant find any cigarettes or bread anywhere

To fly to Luxor you would have to go fly to Cairo then Luxor but remember Egyptair to Cairo as to be within the curfew hours.

Nice to see you on here Kym, I haven't seen you since we went to Tut disco together

Hi Kym,

Update.....I have just been watching the news, Wadi Gadeed are fighting with the police, they are refusing to have the same police back so the police are shooting the people. Whilst watching this my husband just said the same thing has happened in Quena today, a policeman was shot today and died. Not so sure it would be safe to go by road.

How's the curfew affecting HRG HL? Is it being enforced?

Back today, so will be in touch soon - Tracey's both excited and nervous about the whole thing, but a few Stellas will sort her out.

Hi Lee welcome back both of you !
From what ive been seeing and reading the curfews have all been lifted. :)
But im sure HL can give you a fuller account of Hurghada's recent news, and whats been happening there .............if anything.
The biggest problem has been our news in the Uk, as you know has really only concentrated on Cairo and Alex, ive had to rely on my mates in Luxor to find anything out about whats going on there, but anyway i digress, there is no curfew in Luxor, so .............

We haven't had curfews in Hurghada or Sharm, just the rest of Egypt Lee.

There seems to be confusion everywhere with the curfews, Luxor is included in the curfew even though Keefy phoned Gaddis the British Consul in Luxor who has been telling everyone that it doesn't include Luxor. Mr Gaddis phoned the embassy who he said, informed him it didn't include Luxor and they would update the information from last Saturday but there hasn't been any update.

There is a curfew in place across Egypt from 0000 to 0600 local time. However, this is not being enforced in the Red Sea Resort area, where the situation remains calm. You must respect the curfew and listen for announcements about any changes to the curfew requirements.

I will also add yesterday in Hurghada they were flocked around the Governor's house, the Mayor's house, Council Offices and Court, the army are there in force.

Anyway Lee ask me who won the quiz on Saturday :P Didn't get home until 5am

HL - You won the quiz? Did nobody else turn up?

Sounds like business as usual in HRG ;)

Yep I'm back and it's very quiet, but loads of work to catch up on so not really noticeable for me.

Not if it finishes at 5am!

I think I'm the only person in Hurghada who's working at the moment ;)
