Well Lee... you weren't even at home... you were living it up in Hurghada!!!
Christmas kind of passes you by in Hurghada.... one Christmas day it was 3pm before I even realised the date.... I'd just got out of the sea with my students and one said to me "Oh by the way.... Happy Christmas!!"
Egyptian Christians don't celebrate until Jan 7... so it kind of misses you altogether!!!

Oh we celebrated it with Father Christmas on a camel on the beach on Christmas Eve, then partying down the Marina with HL on Christmas Day

I remember a few years ago spending a few weeks with friends in Belize, we were on this lovely island called ambergeise caye, as tropical as it sounds, and i just could not for the life of me get my head around Bing Crosby warbling White Christmas at me while i was downing my "muddy banana" at the beach side bar we used, palms swaying scorching sun, white sand ........................ and tinsle.............. and Bing

but each to his/her own, if we all liked the same thing it would be a 100 deep at the bars in Hurghada wouldnt it

Took mine down yesterday. Couldn't be bothered before. Had my Mum here otherwise I probably wouldn't have bothered with them, apart from Xmas Pud & the reindeer who came over from England with us as they were pressies.

So this begs 2 questions Fran, is the reinderr in quarateen, and are you charging for reindeer rides next Christmas, you could go into competition with those camel rides on the west bank!!
