The Muslim Tommies

Post by New Gal »

Has anyone seen this? Think it was originally shown late on Sunday night gone, I found it on BBC iPlayer as was attempting to find the second part of The Frankencense Trail as I missed it.

The Muslim Tommies covered the participation of soldiers from India in the Second World War and how over 8,000 of these soldiers gave up their lives for their loyalty to Britain and also talked very briefly about Muslim soldiers in todays forces. Quite thought provoking as often its thought that there are no Muslim soldiers fighting for the UK and somehow loyalty to the UK is non existent among the Mulsim community.

Dignity comes not from control, but from understanding who you are and taking your rightful place in the world.
