Since the Arab Spring with all the resultant changes to the country how is tourism faring in the Red Sea area?
AND - now that the MB is in are there news articles, new policies, speculations blowing in the wind as to the future of tourism in this area?
I've heard some minimal discussion of segregated beaches etc but any other tidbits from those of you living in this area?
In other words when I come to visit the Red Sea area should I be prepared to swim with leggings on and a sweat shirt by myself in a women's only beach??
Absolutely not.....the tourist resort areas haven't really changed at all!!
there are some public beaches, but most beaches are attached to hotels.... and nothing's changed there....so get your bikini out and have fun!!!
From family and friends working there and Sharm: nothing has changed other than a slight increase in tourist numbers since 12 months ago, alhamdilulilah. But of course, numbers are still well down, so start packing, they need you desperately!
