I vaguely remember Gunsmoke too, god i feel old now!

Wow Gunsmoke, that takes me back a bit Smile Do you remember the theme tune?

If you want to hear the words that go with the tune, they were sung by Tex Ritter.

I remember all these programs but not the names to the themes or actors except for "Little Joe".
I loved the The Lone Ranger too.

What about 'Big John Cannon' the father, 'Buck' (he was uncle Buck) to 'Blue' the son and Manolito Montoya, I think he was Victoria's brother.

No for a good western you gotta be thinking more Sam Elliot, or Robert Mitcum if you want to go back a few years Smile
John Wayne even Question
An unusual western i enjoyed was " Dances with Wolves"

The Good, The Bad and The Ugly!!! classic spaghetti western with clint at his most monosyllabic!! LaughingLaughing

Other interesting westerns . . . "Little Big Man" with Dustin Hoffman . . . although probably not considered a traditional western.

Really, John Wayne was the king of westerns for many years and I must have seen them all while growing up as those old westerns were standard fodder for weekend TV.
