Its warm today in Hurghada

I've still got trousers and a cardigan on though, vest top underneath my dress but as soon as the soon is out, its like a non-verbal but universal licence to look bad. And thats irrespective of where you live.

So, whats the worse fashion faux pas you have seen when its sunny??

I just hate badly dressed people, I just don't get what some people are thinking when they pick their outfits and around the house or wandering about fair enough, you can be a bit relaxed but to a club?? On R'n'B night???

Socks with sandals have their place . . . not for a night out on the town though, hehe . . . but socks are useful to keep sand off the toes if you insist. But too many ppl have resorted to "thongs" aka "flipflops" in the States . . . I am sure I happened across a topic before where that different names for them have been discussed . . . those flat rubber things that you desperately cling to the rubber piece between the big and 2nd toes!!

I love my crocs!!! I've got them in every colour.... wear them throughout the year.... with jeans or shorts!!
My furry crocs come out in winter... got several pairs!!
They're the most comfy shoes on the planet!!!

Oh my god, when I was here last year there was this really tall man, dead broad, older, maybe 60s but really well maintained but his pants....leopard skin, then the red skimpy pants would come out, oh my days! Now I am not a prude by any means but he would walk past or come and say hello and man alive I did not know where to look

Its not just men in thongs ~ Last October in Sharm lady about my age but slightly larger with pink thong bikini doing stretching excersises with animation around the pool at 11am!! ~ Enought to make you need alcohol at that time ~ We were just sitting on the pool edge watching the excersies start when wow she bent right do and touched her toes not once but several times
I also hate Speedos (aka budgie smugglers think thas great Lee), men with black shoes and white socks and sandals with socks!!!

NG you are right 50+ is not old unless the +bit=30 then you are knocking on a bit.
Last year a groupl of us were sat on the beach in hurghada, a 30ish russian/polish lass began to parade up and down the beach, the men all had thier eyes popping out, the women were crying into thier towels with laughter.
She had a good figure not too tall, blonde quite large boobies, but she was wearing this lttle see through bright pink number(bikini) that had flowers to cover(just) the important bits, the thing that had us weeing ourselves was the fact that she had 4 inch heels on to match her outfit and teetered all over the place, but she didnt quit she knew she had male attention so she kept on wobbling back and forth.
But ladies there is a god, because dinner time the same day it was sooo good to see her sunburn you could nearly feel it she was so red!

Christine I love that story. I can't get why people strut around swimming pools in massive high heels tho don't high heels make your legs look longer and thinner??? I'm a flipflop or flat sandal lover myself. I don't care about fashion I can't stand shoes that hurt my feet!!!! Got a few pairs of crippling high heels for best but I usually end up taking them off and going bare foot if I can!
Other pet hates, thong swinwear. I really don't know why people like these! And sandals with socks of course. My Dad does this but he is nearly 83!!!! He's allowed.
Don't want to be rude but some Egyptians I know have really OTT fashion sense and over dress just to go to the shop!

I was in town at the weekend after the match and some young but ample girl strutted past in her heels. She was wearing a small black mini over her tights but didn't seem to realise that it had completely ridden up and from the back she was showing it all, with big white pants under her tights!

No i cant think that thongs can be comfy, and you are right claire, my funny little friend wont go to the corner shop in Lux with out a full makeup and hair done, and jewellry all put on, the shop is a 5 mn walk from her home.
Like flatties for beach and pool, i also wear pumps sometimes with some of my evening wear, but they are nice pumps, and partly its because im 5ft 9 ins in my bare feet.
I own high heels but im not sure why, then again if i take em off and go barefoot, i get told off and called "village woman", hey i can live with it if my feet ache Ive been called worse!!

Yeah I don't really wear heels any more nor do I need to either but when I do wear them, I can walk properly in them not like sme of the goons I see around here!

But NG you little minx, i took loads of your heels to hurghada with me to give to HL to put in storage for you.
I walk ok in heels its just that they make my feet ache sooner than flatties do, and my 3 inchers turn me into a 6 footer!!!
And have you tried running in heels lately, now that is a sight to see when im late and trying to run and NOT look like a Hippo on speed
