Ok do any of you remember the Blue fairy from the disney movie Pinnochio??
Well thats who i am portraying in the "mencap" Christmas show this year, yes the Blue Fairy

I weigh 14stone, im 5ft 9 ins tall i am53 years old and have the laughter lines to prove that (they r NOT wrinkles)
Can you see it now, there i will be prancing( i do not prance well) about the stage like a very large blue merrangue, complete with blond wig and wings

oh and mencap have kindly provided me with a bloody wand and tiarra!!!!!!!
I have to drag Pinnochio about (he is a much smaller colleague) and dance to the tunes of "hi diddley dee" and of course that timless classic,"got no strings".
Now those of you who have read some of my posts about my holidays will know that i am a tad accident prone, and now look............. the blue fairy?
People i am not fairy material, really im not, so i will keep you posted.

Wish me luck, im off for dress rehearsal day after to-morrow,OMG!

Lee its at times like this when im glad im not technologically minded and dont know how to post photo's never mind video's, but even if i did not a chance pal, not a chance,!!!

You lot will just have to believe me when i regale you of how good i was and how cute i managed to look (ok maybe not that last bit)

You are brave Chris! I woudl love to see this! Where is this show anyway????
After all your posts about slipping and falling you watch it dancing around on the stage! Looking forward to hearing all about this altho seeing it would be so much better!!!

Claire its just a local event thank goodness we organise one each year and our folk all join in(aaagh!!!) its in Portsmouth my home town, we sell the tickets, its a fundraiser.
They are still trying to convnce me that it will be fun, uh huh i believe em thousands wouldnt

Last year we did Mencap thru the ages i was 1940's and had to jive in my pre-war out fit complete with fake fox fur and high heels with a tiny little lady i help to look after, well twice i thought i had dislocated my arm, but no i was fine, my colleague did however spill out of her bra at one point!!

oh the things we do for these folk, im sure fairy is not in my job descrition anywhere

Christine ~ what a picture it paints but think of the laugh you will have ~ I could just imagine myself saying the exact same things as im cuddly wont say just how cuddly but used to be size 28 now 14, 5ft 8 and 53 also!
Its brilliant that your doing this and cant wait Lee if you manage to catch it on video!

Lee portsmouth is miles away from Plymouth, and i will only let you know of date and venue if you swear in blood to ignore Hurghada pats idea!!

So you reckon it will be better than "Only Fools and Horses" really wish i could be there to see it

Know Portsmouth area quite well as had twins who were both in RN and one lived in Bridgemary (hope i have got that right way round as maybe should be Marybridge) but then he moved to Gosport so loved the ferry ride across and also nights out with the matelots when i used to go and visit
