So what things would you recommend I should definitely do while I'm staying there?

;)
CD..... The Red Sea is the best place to dive if you want to give it a try.... snorkelling trips on a boat are also fantastic if you're not ready to dive. I've dived all over the world.... and Red sea is definitely the best!!

A trip to Paradise Island on a boat is also a great day out.... some snorkelling, and some beach time in the sun..... gorgeous!

A quad bike or jeep trip in the desert is also lovely!!

If you don't want to spend a load of money..... just go to Sekala (the town centre) and sit outside a coffee shop, and people-watch..... my favourite evening occupation!!
Try the mango juice, tea with mint or sahlab..... gorgeous!!

I'm getting withdrawal symptoms just thinking about it!!

Sounds fabulous...and I've never been...Can't wait to go and try it for myself...Snorkelling is for sure, diving I'm going to try. Going out into the desert sounds like an amazing thing to do. So thank you for the tips.

I just need to get some work stuff sorted and then I'm booking the flight...poor Netyoda has hardly got on the plane and I'm already planning my first visit!

Hi & belated welcome Cozdragon. We live in Luxor but went to the Red Sea last week for a few days.

We liked El Gouna, spent most of the day there, it's well worth a trip, only a few Km but very different from Hurghada, small with lovely little marinas :D We had dinner there & finally met up with New Gal as well as catching up with HL again. :D

Have a great holiday whatever you do :)

Thanks FAblux

I'm sure I will..talking about it is beginning to drive me potty since I can't book the flights at the moment because of some stuff that is going on with work...but as soon as I can I'm packing my bags!

Thanks for the advice about El Gouna. :D
