Hello

Post by Cozdragon » Thu Feb 18, 2010 11:01 am

Hi everyone,

Just saying hello and making my first post onto the forums...I'm planning to visit later this year...and it seemed like a good idea to get to know some people and places first. I can't wait to visit...Egypt's always been on my list of places to see, so to say I'm excited is the understatement of the year! ;-)

Thanks Netyoda!

It all felt a bit like being the new girl on the first day of school...haven't had that feeling for a very long time! Anyway I got brave in the end...and it only took a week. :P

Thank you to both of you...I'm sure I'll enjoy posting...I'm just a bit quiet till I get my confidence up...as Netyoda sort of suggested, I've been reading on here for a week before I had the nerve to post.

And he's probably giggling at the mere concept of me being quiet these days...

Cocoa Butter - friendship tea sounds lovely. :D

Thank you Christine..

I'm sure I will love it in Egypt...I just need to sort some dates and get a flight booked. It feels like a huge adventure...I've not had the opportunity to travel for a while, so I feel a bit out of practice. I'll be coming out by myself too.

As for the question thing....I'm sure I will have many....and I'm pretty sure they will be stupid! Things always sound so sensible in my head and just come out wrong. ;-)

LOL...not at all nosey. I'm hoping to go out either at easter or in the summer - i'm a teacher and i'm held to the school holidays. However I'm sort of waiting to find out when my new job starts so that I can decide which is best.

As for where I'll be staying in Hurghada although I know very little about it..but since the gorgeous Netyoda is my best friend I don't think I'd be forgiven for going anywhere else for my first visit! I just want to have some of my own things to do too - I don't want him feeling that he has me hanging around driving him up the wall for a couple of weeks!

Hi CD.... welcome to the forum!! :ring:
You're in good hands.... Lee has taken to Hurghada like a fish to water!!
I lived in Hurghada. working as a scuba diving instructor for many year.
The only reason I left is because I met Mr. Right and we moved to the USA..... otherwise I might well still be there.
There are so many nice people on this forum.... I'm sure you'll get loads of good feedback from everyone here.
Enjoy your trip to Egypt.... and keep us updated on your visit! :le:

Thanks Susue...

Yes I think he has that knack of making friends wherever he goes! He speaks of it with so much affection already. I can't wait to come over and explore a little for myself...I just want to leave some bits untouched so I have plenty of excuses to keep going back!

As for a scuba instructor - WOW! Lee's told me how fab it is there and I can't wait to try. I keep meaning to get some swimming in but I haven't yet...

So what things would you recommend I should definitely do while I'm staying there?
