Advice on diving Dahab

Post by DHC »

Hi, can anybody advise me on a good place to stay in Dahab, I like to support the local business if possible. And...preferable dive schools? Or are they all about equal? Thanks...

Hi... and welcome to the forum!
My favourite place to stay in Dahab is the SeaView resort.... decent price, and nice setting... and super-friendly staff.... and nice pool... you can get a lovely sea-view room.

I think theyve got their own dive centre, not sure wethr it's good or bad...I never dived with them,

I dived with Penguin, just a few yards along the boardwalk. they were fairly professional. (I'm an instructor, so I'm fairly fussy!)
Camel Divers is also supposed to be good, but I've never dived with them.

All dving in Dahab is beach dives... no boat dives at all... the boats have nowhere to moor.
If you're an experienced diver, try the Blue Hole..... it's great!
Also... the Canyon.... both excellent dives.

I love Dahab.... it's my favourite part of Egypt.... hope you'll love it too!!!
