hi again folks need some help im trying to find the best place for value with regards to food. were do most expats do there food shopping i dont mind traditional food i can do without european food.

in hurghada and i dont know what sort of food a lot of the paste type food such as hummos i find very nice but if i go to a traditional place i find myself pointing at things like a fool.

not pasta sorry paste you know everything mixed and mashed the egyptians do a lot of that in the traditionalshops beans, tomatoes etc

Hi,

I like to eat local food and as for cooking it myself, i would not have a clue. However it is probably cheaper to go buy it from the local food outlets. Sherry Street off Sheraton Road is a good place to buy it cheap, Mustarda is very cheap for bechamel pasta, spag bol and schwerma. Also you can get Hawowshi from this street which as kind of like a pasty with naan bread... mmm
