The Sheraton Hurghada was a landmark for the area - what is happening to it........does anyone know what will become of it.

I was told years ago that a billionaire from Saudi Arabia boought it and wanted to have the road blocked at both ends. It happens to be a very long road with other hotels on it, so the government here refused. So the billionaire has just left it, refuses to do anything with it. I don't know how true this storey is, but I have been told by quite a few different people. Terrible shame though, it should be refurbished.

Is this the Donut shaped hotel on the road that goes past Bulls?

If I think correct then it's a shame that it has been left to get in its current state, such a great loaction and the views must be amazing!

I am quite surprised that the land beyond the road and up the mountain there has not been developed for such a prime location?
