Egypt can party, but mind the hangover

Post by Netyoda »

Egypt can take a lot of pride in the way its economy has so far endured the world's financial meltdown. It can also cheer the stock market's stellar start to the year. But it's going to need all its strength and skill if it's to emerge victorious in the fight against inflation, as its football team has already been on the field.

Only in some parts CCB, Sharm etc can be rather more touristy, and really its not like the costa's but its progress honey and all of Egypt rely on the tourist trade to stay afloat so they cant have it both ways.
If Egypt relied on thier exports they would go bust quite quickly. :)
My question is, why dosent the Egyptian tourist industry lobby the Airlines to make travel to Egypt a bit cheaper.

Well they've certainly done it with Russia, but I can't see the UK govt with their nod towards environmentalism going for it.

They'd just tax the flights even more to prevent people from flying.
