The Red Sea reefs are some of the most beautiful in the world
The oceans greatest scavenger & probably the most unpredictable & dangerous shark to divers and swimmers. Often the first shark to appear at shipwrecks and crash sites

Snorkeller with family of spinner dolphins
A nudibranch is a member of one suborder of soft-bodied, shell-less marine opisthobranch gastropod mollusks, which are noted for their often extraordinary colors and striking forms. The suborder Nudibranchia is the largest suborder of heterobranchs, with more than 3,000 described species.

The Thistlegorm set sail on her last voyage from Glasgow on 2 June 1941 destined for Alexandria. She was carrying supplies to relieve the 8th Army in preparation for Operation Crusader.
When she sank she was carrying a wide range of supplies ranging from rubber boots to an armoured Rolls Royce. Bedford trucks, Universal Carrier armoured vehicles, BSA & Norton motorcycles, Bren guns, cases of ammunition, and 0.303 rifles laid muzzle to butt as well as radio equipment, aircraft parts, and LMS Stanier Class 8F steam locomotives can still be seen.
In the early fifties Jacques-Yves Cousteau discovered her by using information from local fishermen. He raised several items from the wreck, including a motorcycle, the Captain’s safe, and the ship’s bell. The February 1956 edition of "National Geographic" clearly shows the ship’s bell in place and Cousteau's divers in the ship’s "Lantern Room".
The Thistlegorm was a sitting target for two German bombers returning from Crete. Allegedly they were searching for a large troop carrier, believed to be the Queen Mary when they ran low on fuel, turned home, and stumbled upon the Thistlegorm. They dropped two 1,000 lb (450 kg) bombs directly onto the ship.
The SS Thistlegorm was a British armed Merchant Navy ship built in 1940 by Joseph Thompson & Son in Sunderland, England. She was sunk on 5 October 1941 near Ras Muhammad in the Red Sea and is now a well known dive site

This 28 year old species is well advanced into it's age, with a length of almost 6ft and blue eyes, it's a very good catch. It was originally born in the UK but has now migrated into the warmer sea's of Egypt. Usually can be seen diving with Emperor Hurghada
A worldwide campaign for shark protection was launched in Egypt by the SHARKPROJECT, one of the world’s largest international shark protection organizations. Shark monuments are to be placed at several locations around the world to raise awareness of the importance of sharks and the threat to their future. The first of these monuments has been placed in the Red Sea. See HEPCA for more details.
The blue-spotted ray, Taeniura lymma is a colorful stingray with large bright blue spots on an oval, elongated disc and blue side-stripes along the tail. The snout is rounded and angular and the disc has broadly rounded outer corners. They have a short tapering tail that is less than twice the body length when intact, with a broad lower caudal finfold that extends to the tail tip.
The clownfish feeds on undigested matter which otherwise potentially could harm the sea anemone, and the faecal matter from the clownfish provides nutrient to the sea anemone. It has also been suggested that the activity of the clownfish results in greater water circulation around the sea anemone. In addition to providing food for the clownfish, the sea anemone also provides safety due to its poison.

The worms's most distinct features are the two "crowns" that are shaped like Christmas-trees. These "crowns" are actually highly modified prostomial palps which are specialized mouth appendages of the worm. Each spiral is actually composed of feather-like tentacles called radioles, which are heavily ciliated which allows any prey that are trapped in them to be transported straight towards the worm's mouth.
Perhaps the quintessential "reef fish," anthias make up a sizeable portion of the population of pink, orange and yellow fishes seen swarming in most coral reef photography and film. The anthias are members of the family Serranidae (basses, basslets, groupers) and make up the subfamily Anthiinae
Live around coral, from 3 to 20 m. Very common throughout the Red Sea. Around 23 cm long, the Masked butterfly fish is large for its family. You generally see them in pairs or large groups. Butterfly fish or Chaetodontidae are small, colourful fishes with a continuous dorsal fin. Chaetodontidae means Greek bristle teeth and indeed they do have small, brush-like teeth.
Nudibranchs are often casually called "sea slugs", a non-scientific term. This has led some people to assume that every sea slug must be a nudibranch. Nudibranchs are very numerous in terms of species, and are often very attractive and noticeable, but there are a wide variety of other kinds of sea slugs, and these belong to several taxonomic groups that are not very closely related to nudibranchs. A fair number of these other sea slugs are colorful, and can be confused with nudibranchs.

Probably built by a Japanese shipyard under the name of Shoyo Maru, she was then sold and repurchased by many different ship owners. At the bow, her different names appear as the many layers of paint erode away, Markos then Ghiannis D. (the D is the initial of the Greek naval company Danae). Her wreck on the 19th of April 1983 remains a complete mystery. She left from Rijeka heading for Hoeida (on the Yemen cost of the Red Sea) and hit the reef of Sha'ab Abu Nuhâs.
The stern of the Ghiannis D. lies with a slight tilt on port side as for the bow it lies completely on her port side. The best place to start the dive is at the stern, the afterdeck up to the no 1 hold is still intact. The propellers are buried in the sand with only a small portion of the starboard one still visible. The funnel marked up with a big D remains in perfect condition. The bridge is intact but all her instruments have been striped off.

Clown Fish protecting its Anemone
Clownfish and anemonefish are fishes from the subfamily Amphiprioninae in the family Pomacentridae. About twenty eight species are recognized, of which one is in the genus Premnas, while the remaining are in the genus Amphiprion. In the wild they all form symbiotic relationships with sea anemones. Clownfish are overall yellow, orange, reddish or blackish, and many show white bars or patches. The largest species reach a length of 18 cm (7 in), while the smallest barely reach 10 cm (4 in).
